Friday 21st October – bike *** – Around Felixstowe including lunch ‘Emily’ – Sunny periods.

I was hoping to go windsurfing today but the winds were light in the morning so did my exercises in the back garden. Then around midday to had to put fuel in the van so could check the sailing conditions, fist at The Dip, followed by The Manor but it was only marginal at the time so headed for home to pack a picnic then Mag and I headed out on our bikes at one, the first time since last Friday! We were glad to get out of the busy traffic in the town as we cycled down the side of the Grove Park where a horse was galloping in a field:) Down Marsh Lane to Kings Fleet and the breeze had now picked up but it was too late to go windsurfing now so enjoyed biking in the lovely Suffolk countryside and spotted a Marsh Harrier we think although it could have been a buzzard? Again, it was lovely and quiet just now we like it, our seat at Falkenham Church was once again free, so we enjoyed our yummy roll with great views :) Well rested we then take the usual route back via Kirton to Trimley and back along the tree lined path, once again stopping to feed the fish. So, a nice nearly three-hour bike ride covering over 13 miles and some more good news as I discovered I got the cover pic on the Spotlight on Felixstowe magazine, Mags back again, she will be pleased:)
